eVault - Add Sharepoint Site - PowerShell
Hello,
We use eVault v9.0.1.1073 and we have about 600 Sharepoint site colections to add to eVault server. We cant use the auto-enable feature mainly because i have other 1300 Site-Collections under same WebApplication that arent supposed to be archived yet.
Resuming, everysingle 'target' that as to be added do EVault are site-collections themselves...
'Up-level site' would be the Web application URL, not a Site-Collection.
There should be a way to Add a Site colection to eVault using PowerShell Snap-in, something like:
Add-EvaultSharepointSite -url "http://CompanySite/SiteCollection" -SiteTopLevel $true -SiteSubSites $true -EvaultStore "MOSS Vault Store" -Policy "Company Policy" -ArchivingTask "Company Archiving Task" -RetentionCategory "Company Retention Category"
I cant believe this will not be a feature in future versions of the product...
and i suspect that 'cooking' this type of snapin wouldnt be that difficult to a PS guru (which i'm not) :)
Thank You.

Excellent suggestion. It is something we have been considering for a future version of the product but not currently on the immediate roadmap. I will discuss further with the development team.
