Hi, we need a new server cluster for upgrading to PGP Universal Server 3.1.2. Since we can only use Hewlett Packard hardware, "HP ProLiant DL380 G6" is the only possible option that we can find in the PGP Release Notes for this version. (VMWare is out of the question.) Unfortunately the DL380 G6 is not available at HP any more. Please update the Release Notes so that an available HP server is officially supported for PGP Universal Server.

For example:

Product Number 583914-B21
System Type Server
System Subtype HP ProLiant
Product Model ProLiant DL380 G7

Processor Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU           X5670  @ 2.93GHz, 2933 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 6 Logical Processor(s)
Processor Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU           X5670  @ 2.93GHz, 2933 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 6 Logical Processor(s)

Smart Array P410i Controller on System Board

HP NC382i DP Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapter

Hello,

a new version of PGP Universal Server has just been announced and will be available soon. It will be certified for newer hardware platforms including the one you mention.

You can also always use the VMware ESXi free hypervisor as an abstarction layer between Universal Server and the hardware. ESXi is free and can be downloaded from Vmware website.

Hi

Currently I am using HP Proliant BL460c G7 for PGP Universal server installation, the installation completes with me getting the option to give the IP address and the hostname.

This means my hardware is not supported? any workaround?

Best Regards,

Asim
