It would be useful to have a program that runs in the SEPM to inform you of what your gups have downloaded/distributed/dates and to how many clients so that at a single glance you can see if there's any issues with specific GUPS.

Would also be useful to have a place in SEPM that you click on and tells you how many users are reporting as GUPS as atm there is a tool but it's totally unsupported by symantec.

Symantec totally dropped the ball on this one.  Add a way to help distribute the virus definitions but don't add a way to pull information on these key systems.  GUP's are a great idea and a needed addition to the SEP environment, now give us a way to monitor their status, please.

Still dropping the ball big time. Biggest customer that I know of and they suggest using "a 3rd party tool" ??? What a joke.

For the second question..

"...tells you how many users are reporting as GUPS as atm there is a tool but it's totally unsupported by symantec."

You can use the client search tool and set the search criteria to be;

Search Field / Group Update Provider

Comparason Operator / =

Value / True

This will return a list of the endpoints that are configured as GUPS.

Please mark posts as the solution if they solve your problem!

Please read the start of the original post. We need some additional report(s) and statistics to be shown when it comes to GUP's.
