Clearwell leverages Oracle’s Outside/In technology to extract text (including hidden text) from excel documents.

Native view is WYSIWYG – as it would be seen by opening the document in excel and printing so hidden content is not visible.

If a document with a hidden tab does get produced in image format, the hidden tabs are not produced.

During review there is a "hidden cells" flag so reviewers, when trained to spot this, can download the native file prior to production.
However if file with hidden content is produced in image format, this will be excluded.
Currently the options available are to produce them as part of a secondary production, in only native format.  or - the hidden documents could be rendered in another application and then imported in CW http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&pmv=print&impressions=&viewlocale=&id=HOWTO77176.
