This has been requested previously, but by a different method.

When the number of Groups, or Compliance Policies grows the interface functionality for ordering them quickly becomes unwieldy.

When I add a new entry (Group or Compliance Policy) and move it to the top of the list it can take literally hours to complete.

In some casual tests I ran moving one policy up or down takes between 2 and 3 minutes to complete. This needs to be addressed.

Hi,

I know that it's a little annoying having to recheck the box after every 'move up' button click.
I'd like to know how you think this should be implemented.
I see a couple of ways to address this and i'm sure there are more:

1.  Adding an additional text box to each row which contains an order number.  If you want to jump a new policy to the top of the stack, you change it's number to 1 and the others are all shifted down a notch automatically.
2.  Drag and drop around the UI.  This might be a tricky one to get supported across all browsers though.
3.  Is there another way you are thinking of?

Who prefers what method?

Drag and Drop.  In Yahoo mail  you can drag and drop. They must have figured it out for most browsers....

Hi,

I also have this problem in the Control Center and last time I changed the policy, sometimes it is easier and faster to delete and recreate if you move a policy from up to down.

I can imagine that a f.e. Java will work to implement a drag and drop solution. Also choose boxes with order numbers can be the right way to implement, but please add a save button before every change will be written in the database and deployed. So after you have done the change, the configuration will be wirtten at once and deployed at once. This will also a little bit faster.

Thank you

Hi,

This is scheduled for SBG 9.0.
The beta for this release starts soon so you can check out this functionality then.
