Hi Team,

We have a lot of servers which are configured with LDOM technology from Oracle Sun with ZFS filesystem.

Accroding to the guide ,

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH127089&profileURL=https%3A%2F%2Fsymaccount-profile.symantec.com%2FSSO%2Findex.jsp%3FssoID%3D1356339079583pQ5zC72r0qnorfUGFbbg6vMUrBFwqaDb9E54d

With NBU 7.5 ( Page # 10 )

You can back up and restore BMR clients configured on Solaris 10 LDOM as follows:

■ You can back up and restore a BMR client that is installed on a LDOM guest domain

that has UFS attached.

■ An LDOM guest domain that has UFS attached can be restored on another LDOM

guest domain that is in the same primary domain. Note however that you can restore

the backup of an LDOM guest domain only on a new LDOM guest domain that BMR

has not already backed up.

■ An LDOM guest domain that has UFS attached can be restored on another LDOM

guest domain in the DR site.

Here ZFS is not mentioned. I am not sure what will happen if we test a restore. Please clearly mention or perform a test restore for that as well unfortunately I donot have resources available for that. I took backup of such clients and are having enteries in BMR database afte BMR enable backup run,but not sure about the restore. Logically, there should be no issue as NBU 7.5 does support ZFS with Solaris but what exactly the comment of symantec in this LDOM case, is required.

If this feature is not available yet then please have it in next release.
