LiveUpdate Checking Policy

LiveUpdate should be modified so that it checks what Service Packs and what Hotfixes are already installed before giving the user a list of applicable and available updates.

...I've given a thumb's up, but it would be cosmetic...LU would install only the updates needed, even while listing everything.

Listing everything in LU could be confusing, unless there can be a marker to indicate what will and will not be installed.

I don't see why this would be so. LU will list updates that are relevant for your system...you choose whether or not to allow the updates to install altogether, or select the updates yourself.
AFAIK, if an update is installed it won't install again. That's why a SP for a version of BE doesn't show up as needing to be installed if it is already installed.
