In cases where it is suspected that the files stored on a LiveUpdate Administrator 2.x Distribution Center (DC) have become corrupted (perhaps due to disk issues on the server where this DC is located), it would be useful to have the ability to re-distribute known good copies of the files.

(Indications that the contents of a DC have become corrupted: clients that connect to that DC receive Error: "6004: LiveUpdate did not complete successfully . . . " or "6004: Internal Authentication Failed . . . " or Message: "SECURITY_PACKAGE_NOT_TRUSTED" in Log.LiveUpdate after running LiveUpdate)

At present, attempts to re-distribute from the LUA 2.x server to the remote DC will result in a message, "Selected distribution centers have the latest updates for current selection."

It would be helpful to have an "emergency" manual distribution that would overwrite / replace the contents already present on the remote DC with the known-good copies that the LUA maintains in its download locations.

Keep up the excellent work!

Edited after finding the link to this utterly-needed Idea of yours:

Sooner or later every user of LUA will see the need for what Mick2009 describes in the below-linked Idea. Please vote up to display in the LUA, or at least a standalone tool to do the function. LUA only tells you a date, which I think is merely the date the DL took place and is NOT related to the content date, especially in certain environments.
