As per article: http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/286750.htm group deletion in Outlook is not supported with the EV Outlook add-in. Will this ever be supported - please!  This is a compliant I receive routinely when users try to clean up their mailbox and receive this message "Enterprise Vault cannot delete an Outlook Group".   The sorting and group collections in Outlook is very useful and the Outlook Add-In shouldn't break this.

Running Exchange 2003 SP2 and EV 8.0 SP2.

This is something that was

This is something that was raised again internally just recently, and filed as a bug.  Unfortunately in the current implementation Outlook doesn't give us the ability to intercept at the right time, and see "into" the group, so just have to block the request.  Groups and Search folders (okay and instant search) are the things that I'd most like to see addressed properly.

As Rob mentions this is

As Rob mentions this is currently a limitation with the Outlook object model and we can only fix this once suitable integration points are available to detect group membership when selected. Therefore it is an outstanding requirement but is reliant on MS providing an update to Outlook first.
