Hi Sally5432,

Mentioned bulletins are up to date in PM Import 7.1.378. Please refer to attached screenshots.
- Downloaded updates included to MSWU-431 are identical to updates provided by download URLs at Microsoft Page http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982726
 - MS12-057 includes KB2687501 and KB2687510 and Microsoft says "V2.0 (December 11, 2012): Rereleased bulletin to replace the KB2553260 and KB2589322 updates with the KB2687501 and KB2687510 updates respectively for Microsoft Office 2010 Service Pack 1"
 - MS12-059 includes KB2687508  and Microsoft says "V2.0 (December 11, 2012): Rereleased bulletin to replace the KB2597171 update with the KB2687508 update for all affected editions of Microsoft Visio 2010."

In case you could not find these updates included to SWU policies, probably you need to run Import Patch Data for Windows task with enabled revise.
You can check video related to revise here: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/videos/revising-software-update-policies-video

Thank you,
Roman

I always have revised checked.

"Downloaded updates included to MSWU-431 are identical to updates provided by download URLs at Microsoft Page http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982726"

The name and size are the same, but when I download the update from MS the version is 14.0.6131.5001 and the version on the CMS server is 14.0.6129.5001.  Patch remediation center agrees that I'm fully compliant (with the old version, not the new).

I get that MS12 57 and MS12 59 are available, but on my server I don't see any files with a recent modification date.  As far as I can tell the files downloaded/available on the server are all from the old versions of the update that I've already pushed out.  Patch remediation center agrees that I'm fully compliant (with the old version, not the new).

I attached screenshots too.

Hi Sally5432,

Thank you for your explanations.

Regarding KB982726 from MSWU-431:
So new version of KB has not been downloaded during revise task... It looks like known issue that happens very rarely -  new version of update is not re-downloaded during revise in case if file name & Download URL has not changed and file size (in Kbytes) remained the same.

For now you may use workaround - please remove existing updates KB982726 from NS(I guess you have 4 updates under folder MSWU-431), then navigate to Patch Remediation Center and recreate package for MSWU-431 bulletin. Then check that downloaded updates have correct version.

Regarding KB2687508 from MS12-059 and KB2687501/KB2687510 from MS12-057:
I see that according to Microsoft articles these bulletins have been revised by Microsoft only once on 11/12/2012 when KB2687508 and KB2687501/KB2687510 were added to bulletins as I mentioned before.
KB2687510, KB2687501 & KB2687508 have been published by Microsoft on 12/10/2012 and, for me, updates downloaded by NS are identical to updates provided by download URLs at Microsoft Pages.
Could you please clarify why do you think that these KB has been re-released by Microsoft? Do you have different file version, file size or build version when compare updates staged on NS with same updates downloaded from Microsoft page?

BTW, as I understood actually your issues are related to incorrect compliance for mentioned updates - Windows Update offers to install KB982726, KB2687508, KB2687501 & KB2687510 while Patch Management Solution says that it is not required. Please correct me if I am wrong.

If it is correct, then
 - for KB982726, recreate MSWU-431 package as I described above, run the latest PM Import(7.1.379), execute Windows Assessment scan and check compliance report once again. Some changes have been implemented to PM Import 7.1.379, probably it will resolve your issue. If issue is not resolved, could you please attach screenshot from affected machine where Windows Update offers to install KB982726? Also please attach STPatchAssessment.log and STPatchAssessment.xml from the same affected machine that is fully compliant according to compliance reports.

 - for KB2687510 & KB2687501, Microsoft page http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/bulletin/ms12-057 says that "Although the rereleased updates (KB2687501 and KB2687510) replace the original updates (KB2553260 and KB2589322 respectively) for Microsoft Office 2010 Service Pack 1, customers who have successfully installed the original updates do not need to install the rereleased updates." So in case if KB2553260 and KB2589322 are already installed on your machines, KB2687510 and KB2687501 are not required

 - for KB2687508,  Mickrosoft page http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/Bulletin/MS12-059.mspx says that "Although the rereleased update (KB2687508) replaces the original update (KB2597171) for all affected editions of Microsoft Visio 2010, customers who have successfully installed the KB2597171 update do not need to install the KB2687508 update. " So in case if KB2597171 is already installed on your machines, KB2687508 is not required

Thank you,
Roman

MSWU 431 is working today, PMImport must have addressed the issue.

MS12-059 is showing as necessary through windows update, I don't have KB2597171 installed.

Ms12-057 is showing as necessary through windows update, I do have  KB2553260 and KB2589322 installed, so maybe that's a bad report in win update.

Hi Sally5432,

Thank you for the provided files.

According to Microsoft page(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2687508), KB2687508 from MS12-059 applies only to Microsoft Visio 2010 Service Pack 1.
However as I see from attached STPatchAssessment.xml there is no Microsoft Visio installed on this machine. this is the reason why Windows System Assessment scan does not offer to install this update.

Thanks,
Roman
