I work for local government and we process a large number of Public Disclosure Requests.  Currently we log each redaction and list the associated code.  As we begin to use (Clearwell) e-Discovery, we will code the redaction and supply the requester with a key.  We believe it would be more efficient to pre-populate these codes so the person doing the redaction would simply have to pick the proper code from a drop down list.  This would eliminate entering the code for each document and would reduce input errors.  It will also save time when double checking a redacted document.  Thanks for considering this feature request.

It would also be good if we could select more than one redaction code reason?  Could we select the code for each redaction made on a document?  For example, we might redact names of certain individuals in an email with a reason code 001-Not Part of Litigation, and another section might be redacted with reason code 002-Business Sensitive.

I'm not entirely sure how this would work in the user interface but the feature would be good.

Hello Wayne (and Neil too),

While I know it's been some time since you submitted this idea, I wanted to let you know that I'm in the process of getting more info for my customer on the availability of this feature and should be following up in this Idea when I have more.

I did find where a feature was designed and demoed but that's all I have for the moment. In addition, and at the request of my customer, I've also asked if this feature will have a default set of reason codes for Redactions, e.g. FOIA Exemptions, and/or a method to import via CSV, etc. reason codes.
