We perform PST Import Wizard based migrations all the time and from the Symantec engineer stated, we either can place all shortcuts back in the mailbox or none. WHat we'd like to do is have the Wizard only place items which are 90 days or newer back in the mailbox to minimize the impact on the Exchange quota. We currently have a PST Migration policy which does this with Client-driven migrations, but the policy is not used with PST Import. We'd like to have this changed. It's quite cumbersome to have to access every user's mailbox after each migration and delete all the 90 days+ old shortcuts.

Thanks for your time.

That's a good idea - it's already built in to the server driven migration side of things, so perhaps you could target a particular location and import that way?

Unfortunately server-driven migration doesn't work for us. We need to control when PSTs are migrated since it has to be coordinated with the user. Thats why we go with client-driven most of the time, except for executives and directors- for those we use the PST Import because they get to choose what gets archived. Thanks anyway for the idea though!

Thanks the suggestion. I think its a good idea and something I've heard previously from other customers. I'll add this to our product backlog for future consideration.
