The known issues list is

The known issues list is generated to raise awareness to customers of defects in the product.  These are typically ones which come through as support cases and then reach engineering to be researched.

Serious issues or those that generate a reasonable number of calls to support are investigated with urgency by EV Engineering and we look to fix them in an upcoming service pack as soon as possible.  You’ll see the details of those fixes in the updates.htm which comes with each service pack.

When looking at what defects to fix in a release/service pack (and we do fix many issues!) we have to take into account the likely benefit of the fix, how many customers are or would be impacted, how bad an issue is it etc.  Therefore any defects listed on the late breaking news and remain there, are in our belief (and we’re always happy to hear feedback on this) of little negative impact to our customers and so we feel our defect fixing efforts should be and are, spent resolving these other more customer impacting issues.
