Scheduled inventory processing

When dealing with large deployment inventory processing will sometimes be a pain. I would like to have the option to say that inventory nse's larger than 1K or is type full only process from 10pm-06am.

Just to check, you are refering to version ITMS 7.1 SP2? in this version the event queue processing has changed. have you seen the Even queues in ITMS 7.1 SP2?
Can you setup the inventory policies to be schedules to run whitin the time frame you want. If you have a planned deployment you can modify the inventory policies/tasks to stay in that schedule. wouldn't this work in your scenario?
