Search feature in Symantec Management Platform 7.1

Hi,

I´m pretty sure that I´m not alone making this suggestion:

 

In Altiris D.S 6.9 you could from the console make a search on username. When doing that you could get information about which machine
the user is logged on to. Why wasn´t this implemented in SMP 7.1?  Nice if all type of basic functions could already be built in so we
don´t have to make a query out of everything.

 

Please improve!

How to search by user

1. Open the Symantec Management Console.

2. Open Manage > Computers.

3. The center pane lists either New Computers or Installed Agents, depending on the selection made beneath the Saved Searches web part on the left. Look for the search box under the Saved Search title in the middle pane. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the magnifying glass in the search bar.

4. Additional options will be displayed. Click the Add Search Criteria drop-down list and select User.

5. An additional search box will be displayed and should assist in refining the list of Computers by username, Logged on account, or Primary account (see the attached screenshot).
