Mac virus definitions in LUA seem to require a considerable amount of space.  When we chose not to download these updates, it now shows a bad status for the Symantec Products Overview in LUA.

When loading LUA we see the following..

When going to the Manage Updates tab, I can clearly see it is doing this because of the Mac Updates

My proposal is to either make the bad status for removed updates excluded from the reporting that their is a coverage issue, or to separate the updates for for Mac into it's own product.

Hi Matthew,

The icon in the illustration does not mean "bad," just that a subset is in place.  It's how my own LUA 2.3.1 server appears as well.  Definitely don't be downloading updates for product components that you don't need, just to see a different icon!  &: )

Hope this helps!

With thanks and best regards,

I understand what you are saying.  I just thought it would be better if the updates were split up into different products, like this.  That way, you don't have to choose the Mac definitions at the product level.

-> Symantec Endpoint Protection v11.0 English
-> -> Virus Definitions
-> -> -> SESC Virus Definitions Win32 v11
-> Symantec Endpoint Protection v11.0 English (Mac)
-> -> Virus Definitions
-> -> -> Symantec Endpoint Protection for Mac Virus Defs
