Currently, in order to exclude Virtual Machine Servers from being queried from a Media Master, you have to go to that Media Master server and create a registry entry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veritas\NetBackup\CurrentVersion\Config\BACKUP of excludeVMservers type REG_SZ and set the data to a list of virtual servers to exclude. This is a real pain point to manage and maintain when you have a large, spread out, virtual server presence in your company.

This should be done under the Host Properties -> Media Servers -> mediaservername -> Properties window.

You can have a VM Machine Exclude entry, where it would provide a list of the servers listed in the Virtual Machine Servers in the Media and Device Management section and you could use a checkbox to exclude the servers for that Media Master.
