SSR: Granular restore for public folder, calendar and contact
Created: 28 Mar 2012 | 2 comments
As with Symantec Backup Exec I require granular restore for:
- public folder (objects),
- calendar (objects) and
- contact (objects)
Reason: If I have to restore one of the items above wirh the current SSR version I have to restore the whole server --> This is not really realistic.

I agree, this would be a massive advantage as currently there is no way to bring back the whole mailbox via Granular Restore. Restoring the whole server is not viable for the sake of one mailbox.

where are the contacts to be found in a granular restore window, when i find the mail box it just seems to have the mail - no contacts - no calender. i have the mail just non of the contacts i had, since i had to do a fresh install on a new server and did not save the contacts prior to joining the domain as a user. i do have backups from the old server - it was SBS 2008 running exchange 2007 sp4 - any help is appreciated
