Please put in the support for installing the remote console on a Windows 8 machine.  Currently I have to use a Windows 7 VM to use the remote console for Server 2012 on windows 8, but yet a Backup Exec 2010 console will install on Windows 8.

Strange,  I just installed the Remote Administration Console for Backup Exec 2012 on Windows 8.  Although I did get the compatibility warning, I installed it anyway.  After a reboot, I launched the software and entered my server credentials and BEHOLD! It worked.  I have been running it for 2 days now and have had no issues with it to this point.  It seems to be stable and all features are accessible and functional.

...while it works, it isn't on the BE 2012 SCL so it would be unsupported. Vote up the idea for it to get more exposure. Unfortunately posting won't help, but votes for the OP's idea will.

Thanks!

Must have not been the media with SP2, because that one comes up and says its not supported.

You are correct!  I am using the SP1 version which I downloaded from Symantic.  I installed from a network folder rather than from a cd/dvd.
