Status: On Roadmap

Hi,
I have several customers who prefers to boot the system from ZFS.(root pool)
Can you predict when native DMP will support booting from ZFS internally & over SAN?
Many thnks,
-Yoav

Symantec is working with Oracle to get access to root device support with ZFS. It is on our roadmap. I will post an ETA in coming months.

Hi:

I ressently have a client that have Oracle over Solaris 10 ZFS and create Zones over the global zone, i wonder if with this roadmap, Backup Exec is going to be able to access to the ZFS and the zone and backup data, right now i'm using Backup Exec 2010 and it can't.

DMP support for Solaris ZFS root pools is planned for implementation in the Storage Foundation and DMP release targeted for second half 2013, and will be available for Solaris 11U1 and later.
