When running jobs to an LTO 5 tape library, when a job spans multiple tapes, the spanned tapes are not flagged as full. They indicate about 20 GB available still. Problem is on subsequent jobs, an attempt will be made to append to this small amount of remaining tape, then span to yet another overwritable tape. This creates for an inefficient and unorganized use of tapes. Please, when a job starts on Tape 1, then spans to Tape 2, it is imperative that Tape 1 be marked at Full.
