Synthetic duplication jobs

Demand note:
Because of backup volume (time window) and retention time on b2d-space only one FULL Backup per week with INC inbetween.

Requirement:
Customer request daily tape sets with “full” backups for offsite storage.

Possible solution:
Synthetic duplication jobs – Backup Exec should make an synthetic FULL backup and copy this to tape (like an restore from an INC backup). Time windows is not an issue because processing is only on BE media server.

Update:
Should be possible with V-Ray Edition - (Hyper-V and VMware VMs).

You can do this by doing a synthetic backup after each incremental job and then duplicating the synthetic backup to tape.

Thank you for your answer.
I've updated my post because I have forgotten to mention that this should work in VM environments.
Also it is a license issue because the normal synthetic backups are not included in the V-Ray Edition.
And further this option may not work with VM images – as you mentioned here:
