USB disk security scanning needed urgently
Created: 21 Aug 2012 | 5 comments
Why doesnt Symantec have something like this: USB Disk Security from Zbshareware Lab . This is where the infections are started. Even without
any process started, our machines(40000+) get infected even with the latest SEP 12.1 RU1MP1 installed.
Why doesnt Symantec listen and get their act together to have USB scanning...all other vendors do it. If Symantec doesnt come through with USB
scanning , a lot will be lost , not just customers.

Atm you must use ADC for get better control on removeable devices but it would be good to have such a feature. Also default scan templates for external devices would be good. Everybody should vote for Grahams Idea to get it into 1 of the next releases of SEP.
Yes, but remember ADC doesnt work on 64bit machines.
In SEP 12.1, ADC is supported on 64-bit.

Again, ADC only works with SEP12.1 -64bit and not SEP 11 -64bit. Machines still being infected without ADC - cause for concern as client might not want to go to SEP 12 and use an alternative product.
