Using system variables for exceptions

It would be nice to exlude from scanning directories by using any system environment variable. Now it is impossible.
Example 1. You need to exlude directory that resides in users profile.
C:\users\%username%\dir_to_exlude or %userprofile%\dir_to_exlude
Example 2. You need to exlude directory that is represented by viarable. On each client machine name of that directory can be different.
Possibility to use all system variables (not only predefined by Symantec) would be very appreciatived
I'm using SEPM,SEP 12.1 RU1 MP1

Yes this option will come helpfull.
I think wildcard is also a good idea, like *filename.exe so we dont need to get all the folder paths.
