RDM is used in almost all the era who are using FC for SAN storage with VMWare

Need to know shortcoming from NetBackup end on RDM (No detailed description available in guides which can justify or convince)

Neither we have any option to RDM to be excluded  if detected

, else native support to RDM

The limitation you speak of is a VMware limitation based on vStorage's inability to snap RDM's in physical compat mode.  If the RDM exists in virtual compat mode we can ask vStorage to snap it.

I agree that we need better alerting/reporting on Phys Compat Mode RDM's in VM's that we couldn't snap with vStorage.
