We want to see different behavior with a scheduled search. When you reject a scheduled search, it disappears. What we would prefer is when you reject a search, you are given to let it reject and disappear, but also let you modify the search (at least the archives searched), and resubmit.

Immediate search lets you do this, so it shouldn't be that impossible on a scheduled search.
