I found some interesting information after OS bootup on AIX platform.

From the errput, I can see following information:

NOTE VxVM vxdmp V-5-0-34 added disk array DISKS, datype = Disk

NOTE VxVM vxdmp V-5-0-34 added disk array 09473, datype = TagmaStore-USP

NOTE VxVM vxio V-5-0-1 : BufPool created Buf pool size 76800000

NOTE VxVM vxio V-5-0-1 : SioPool created Sio pool size 153600000

NOTE VxVM vxio V-5-0-1 : Max Memory used by Sio|Buf Pools = 225000 KB

NOTE VxVM vxio V-5-0-1 : Max memory for SioBuffer Pool  =491236884

NOTE VxVM vxio V-5-0-1 : Physical Memory in Mbytes =46848

These same the volume manager recording when OS bootup, but any question is, why we can see the unwanted informaion for each entries as follow highlight? In fact, we have no any error for our env. we are confused by these informations, can you give us the detail exlain about them, or if Symanyec plan delete or correct these information, because I found this issue on many SF versions.

Tiny_Grass,

Are you using EMC PowerPath and Read-only devices?  If so, please take a look at this technote for SF 5.0 on AIX:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...

which is very similar to your error message and have been surpressed in 5.0 MP3 RP3 HF3 hot-fix and 5.0MP3RP4.

RyanJancaitis,

Thank you for your reply.

This isn't same as your linked KB, and this case has esclated to engineering, engineerig will ingore these debug information on next public release. I will update them after the engineering confirm this.
