Recently in the Netbackup forum, someone had created a thread, and once everyone had given their ideas and tried to answer the question the creator posed, the creator went through and deleted all of their posts regarding his/her question.  Now the thread is completely useless, as no one can tell what the question was. We should be able to filter our own posts, and especially filter on "unanswered" ones with no solution. This way, people may be encouraged to mark more of their posts as answered...

I'd like to see a "survey" type of forum discussion. Where the main purpose is to click on one of some default provided answers. With some graphics showing how much the answers were clicked. Cheers

I like the "ideas" section, however, it seem to not gain too much attention. You should maybe feature some random ideas on the right sidebar for the user to click on. (In context of the forum/product the user is in) Cheers Michel

I would like to suggest the following 1) After I click on the Order Now for a reward redemption, give me a confirmation dialog, in case I click the link accidentally. 2) Between the time I requested for the reward and the time it is approved, allow me a mean to cancel the redemption.

A lot of times we see that there are discussions which get a lot of responses. So when you get an update that someone posted a new Response to that discussion you open the link. If the response is the last its good, but if someone posts a Reply to a comment in the middle of the third page, then you have to spend a lot of time to search for that comment. having a button near the Title of the discussion will definitely make our lives simpler. Prelude Initially, I wrote this about Backup Exec, because that's where I ran into this problem. I'm also a SAV & SEP veteran but don't recall seeing this heinous language in their KB articles. So maybe it's a Veritas thing. But, whatever... ...then it occurred to me that while BE may (or may not) be the only Symantec enterprise product to which the symptom applies, the cure is universal. Because it bridges a huge gap between the goals of Symantec Sales, Support, ...

Hi, Andy Welburn has suggested (encourage) me to create a new Idea about a new button on Forums (Mark as NO Solution). Now I'm doing it. What do you think?. For Symantec Support look on forums for any matters mark as NO Solution will give them a different point of view then if they have no the solution (very unlikely because Symantec always give a solution) they willl give a better support and can improve faster in its products and stright to the ...

I really appreciated the integration of the solved threads in the search results of our online knowledgebase [ http://www.symantec.com/business/support/overview.... ]. It would be perfect if we can integrate the Videos and Articles on forums with the knowledgebase. So if a user searches for a keyword, thats missing from the knowledgebase, we have other resources to look for. Cheers, Aniket

While there is a way to mark the main forum post as offensive in the forums, how about a way to mark replys as offensive.  Example: A user creates a thread and someone replys making fun of the person asking for help.  It would be nice to be able to mark the reply as offensive and possibly if enough people mark it as offensive, the post would be deleted.

Hello Is there a chance to have a button on each forum we are viewing to mark all posts as read?? After a long break once I return I am having a lot of these 'dots' on lef hand side near each post. I would like to mark all posts as read, to somehow start from scratch.

As the 2 products are really different, I suggest you create a separate product "marker" name for SD7, from "helpdesk", as it is currently the case inside KB.Altiris.com ! You have time, the launch is only: end this week... 2 & 1/2 a year I am waiting for that !!! Thanks & best regards.

I don't see any navigation buttons or similar ( for example : Pag 1 2 3 ... last ) to navigate through blogs, articles, ideas, etc. There is a filter in " My Workspace" that help to order the different posts but it's hard to go to other pages than the first.  You will see only the first Articles or Blog page.... Please add it so we will use better this section. Regards, Paolo

What about having some sort of Security characters identification systems while creating discussion threads. There are sites which has this system even while adding comments. We already have this while submitting files, y don we have this incorporated with Symantec Connect appropriately.

Just a thought, i'm not sure whether its already works that way or not I think it would be easy to also have search option to search enterprise knowledge base from symantec connect Kind of one place for all issues i.e., both discussions and knowledge base

In the idea submission and filtering there should be a topic for "Fixes" or "Bugs/Fixes" to help find and monitor known issues like http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/286750.htm
