BESR backup job hangs at 95% on a long run while taking backup saying 'Updating History'

Run an All drive backup on BESR 9.0.2 for 1 or 2 weeks.
The job configuration is as follows:
a) Schedule for every 15 minutes.
b) Automatically optimize: Never/4hours/12hours.
c) The destination should be a Network Location.
At some point the Backup job hangs at 95% saying 'Updating History'.

We do have this same issue with BESR 8 and haven't found a workaround yet. For a while now, backups are not beeing made. We like to obtain this hotfix to sort this issue. How can we contact Symantec Technical Support for this?

There is no hotfix for this issue yet. I'm going to edit this known issue and correct it - sorry for the confusion.
The following TechNote has the workaround but this only applies to BESR 2010. I you are seeing the same issue with 8.x, I would encourage you to open a case with support so that this can be investigated further.
