Hello there.

Just a quick update on this. Since I have shut down the TrendMicroWorryFreeBusinessSecurity-Agent on the mediaserver on 5 successive backupruns PLUS the SECOND(!!!!??) BackupExec-SP2 - every backup runs perfect - but still exept the SQL-2008R2(64bit) database.

Any comments/ideas on this?

As from another post here https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/error-v-79-57344-38721intrduced-sp1 I have also 2 VMs (out of 6) which do have this behavior.

As only once every 3 months I get a good GRT-AVVI-backup when I reboot EVERY involved server (=also the Mediaserver) - and even then it is not sure that the next backup will run properly.

We are using a slow storage "EMC Clariion AX150i" via iSCSI and furthermore "Trend Micro WorryFree Business Security 7.0 SP1" on every server.
I have tried now not to reboot the mashines, but to shutdown the TrendMicro-AV on the mediaserver whilst backup - I got 1 more (not both!) VM backed up with GRT! So I have rebooted again every single server and will shutdown the TrendMicro-AV on the Mediaserver whilst backup. Let's see.

I have also another issue with the same constellation, but with one VM running Windows Server 2008R2 (64bit) + SQL Server 2008R2 (64bit) (all with the latest patches/updates/Servicepacks), where the GRT-backup is working, but the SQL-databases are NOT selectable for a restore. (Backupagent is installed and running on the target VM + AVVI+SQL-licences are installed on the mediaserver). GRT-backups of VMs running Windows Server 2003R2(32bit) + SQL Server 2005 are OK!!!
