BERemote on the media server is crashing with a heap corruption on incremental backups to a deduplication folder

BERemote.exe on the media server is crashing with the following in the event log:

This is happening during the backup of around 50 AVVI systems and is during a memory free() operation. The heap appears to have been corrupted.
At this time, we are trying to narrow down the particular set of circumstances that cause the problem to occur.
