Me Too!I have the same issue
Product(s): Backup Exec - 2010, Backup Exec
Severity: Non-data threatening / major functionality
Status: Will not fix
Tech Note: More Information

When using the 'Back up and delete the files' backup method with the Remote Agent for Linux Servers (RALUS), no files are deleted even when using root as the logon account to access the remote Linux server.

A backup was created using the Back Up and Delete method, but the files were not deleted. You must use a Backup Exec logon account that contains credentials with superuser privileges to delete files from the \\\[ROOT] resource.

In Backup Exec Administrator`s guide, Appendix O (Symantec Backup Exec Agent for Linux).

"You can exclude specific files and directories on the Linux computers from all backup jobs. Edit the ralus.cfg file to specify the excluded files.
The following is an example of strings in the ralus.cfg file that excludes files and directories from all backup jobs."
Software\Symantec\Backup Exec For Windows\Backup Exec\Engine\RALUS\SystemExclude1=/mnt/nss/pools/
Software\Symantec\Backup Exec For Windows\Backup Exec\Engine\RALUS\SystemExclude2=/mnt/nss/.pools/
Software\Symantec\Backup Exec For Windows\Backup Exec\Engine\RALUS\SystemExclude3=/_admin/*.*
I'll test.
