SMTP email alerts show a success in the subject line despite the automatic cleanup of recovery points failing. The body of the email shows the failure (see below for an example).
This issue is seen in Backup Exec System Recovery (BESR) 2010 and in Symantec System Recovery (SSR) 2011.
Description: Info 6C8F043E: Recovery point G:\SSR Backups\blue_F_Drive002.v2i deleted to comply with the size of recovery points to save for each drive.
Error E7D10017: Unable to delete 'G:/SSR Backups/blue_F_Drive002.v2i'.
Error EBAB03F1: Permission denied.
At the time of writing, there is no workaround to this problem.
