SMTP Email settings in Symantec System Recovery (SSR) are lost following a machine restart on Windows 7 and 2008 R2.
After adding the 'SMTP Email' settings in the Symantec System Recovery (SSR) graphical user interface (GUI), those settings are lost if the machine is restarted rather than being shutdown.
At the time of writing, the only available workaround is to ensure that the machine is shutdown, instead of being restarted, after adding the SMTP Email settings.
