Symantec System Recovery (SSR) service fails to start (Symantec.VProRecovery.Info not installed correctly).
Problem
Following a success installation of Symantec System Recovery (SSR), the SSR service fails to start. The error listed below can be found in the Application event log.
Error
EC8F1775 Error: An error occurred while starting the Symantec System Recovery service.
EC8F1772 Error: The following component is not installed correctly: Symantec.VProRecovery.Info.
EBAB03F1 Error: Unknown error. (UMI: V-281-3215-6005)

Solution
Warning: Incorrect use of the Windows registry editor may prevent the operating system from functioning properly. Great care should be taken when making changes to a Windows registry. Registry modifications should only be carried-out by persons experienced in the use of the registry editor application. It is recommended that a complete backup of the registry and workstation be made prior to making any registry changes.
The issue is caused by a lack of permissions in the registry. Using REGEDIT, add the following permissions:
1) HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib
Administrators (Group)Full Control
System Full Control
Server Operators Full Control
Authenticated Users Read ( Query Value , Enumerate Subkeys, Notify, Read Control)
Creator Owner Full Control
2) HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface
