Me Too!I have the same issue
Product(s): Symantec System Recovery (formerly Backup Exec System Recovery) - BESR 2010, Symantec System Recovery (formerly Backup Exec System Recovery) - SSR 2011, Symantec System Recovery (formerly Backup Exec System Recovery)
Severity: Non-data threatening / major functionality
Status: Investigating/gathering information
Tech Note: More Information

Problem

On a Windows server with multiple partitions, some drive letters are incorrect following a restore using the Symantec Recovery Disk (SRD).

Example scenario:

    Server has C, D, E & F drives
    Backup only C & F
Restore C & F to blank disk on same hardware (this is NOT a restore using Restore Anyware option)
Following the restore, F becomes D in Windows

Environment

Windows 2003/2008/2008 R2

Solution

There are currently 2 workarounds to this issue:

Manually change drive letters in Windows disk management after the restore
Use the Backup Exec System Recovery (BESR) 8.5.9 recovery disk for the restore
