Hi Heathu, There is difference between normal file and password protected file which syamntec identifies and trigger incidents. Probably every files having metadat information and once the file is encrypted with password which might using some encryption technology and update the metatdata information as encrypted.
hello It depends for which part of DLP you want to use LDAP directory : - For DLP UI authentication, you need to have active directory, as Symantec DLP is not able to use a LDAP service for that. If not it means you will have to manage local authentication (account and password managed in the DLP solution) - For LDAP plugins, you could use a standard LDAP directory. - For user group, ...
Hrmm some how I lost my reply. Network Protect allows the copy or qaurantine of a file toa different location as a part of the correct respnse rule. Then that folder would be encrypted via PGP. I would need to put in the credentials for the NEtwork Protect folder and then apply the response rule. Should be pretty simple if I'm understanding things correctly
