Backup Exec Licensing - Server/SQL Server

作成: 11 Feb 2013 | コメント数: 2

Hello everyone,

If I have 4 physical servers (2 Windows 2003 and 2 Windows 2008 SQL Server) which I want back up, should I use 1 BE Server (and install it on any machine), 2 BE Agents for Applications and Databases (SQL Server) and 2 BE Agents for Windows (Windows 2003 Servers)?

Or I made mistake?

Best regards.

Hi

Yes 2 backup 2 SQL server 2 Application database are right and 1  windows agent to backup your 2 remote servers. As you plan to install Backup Exec on one machine so no need of seperate remote agent on the server were you install BE as remote agent is part of install.

You can choose To install BE on any physical machine

Additionally please check link below

Thanks
