I encountered a new variant of issue. That infection encrypted all files and folders and when I tried to remove that, it is asking for $50 for the removal of that. No suspicious or infected files found in the computer. So, any help or advice would be helpful.

This sounds like this virus problem.  Since it is not related to PGP, you would seem much more likely to find assistance in anti-virus related sites, such as maintained by the producer of your anti-virus software.  A Google search brings up much about this, and from what I read, it does not appear likely you will be able to recover these files.

Thank you Tom!

Can you give me a link for the virus related page?

Hello,

Is the machine protected with Symantec Endpoint Protection or any other Antivirus Product?

I would suggest -

Using Symantec Support Tool, how do we Collect the Suspicious Files and Submit the same to Symantec Security Response Team.

and

work on the steps provided in the Article:

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/your-system-infected-symantec-tools-help-clear-infection

Hope that helps!!
