This is a trust problem, make sure that your CAS is up. If you are not on SP2 and have the latest hotfixes, run Liveupdate a couple of times to update all your servers. Lastly, push out the remote agents to your remote servers.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by single sign on and give an example? The Enterprise Vault Outlook add-in already uses integrated Windows authentication to automatically authenticate the user to the EV server.
