    Hello,

We are running 12.1.6 MP4 (12.1 RU6 MP4), MAR 2016.  We just recently upgraded to this new client.  Servers that have not been upgraded still have the SYLINK entry in their Registry.  Upgraded servers are missing the entry.

All the clients appear to be communicating with the SEPM just fine as evidenced by the green dot on the client and no problems in the SEPM.

I tried re-importing a Sylink.xml file, but the entries were not re-created.  Any help much appreciated.

Do you mean to enable sylink debugging? Those need to be added manually. The upgrade probably wiped it out. If you need to enable sylink debugging then you can manually enable again.

No, this is not for Sylink debugging.  I use a Powershell script to access that Registry key to determine client server and group.  I cannot get that information from the Registry now because the entire key is gone.  How can I re-create the Registry key?

The specific key I am looking for is:  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\SMC\SYLINK\SyLink

    Mine is under:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\SMC\SYLINK\SyLink

I don't have anything either under your path above that is referenced.

Thank you.  I think that resolved the problem.  Looks like the key was just moveed to this new location.
