As per Symantec technical rep- by default we cannot block keyboard and main disk(volume 0) using device control. My concern is mouse MUST be included in this list along with keyboard and main disk as we use mouse to configure SEPM all the time unless you want to type something.
In case by mistake if some user blocks mouse by adding USB under blocked devices (dont say to add exclusion for HID) then there is no way he can revert it back unless there is someother policy ...
It would be nice to have a list of known and confirmed bugs that Symantec support knows with a plan to fix it and maybe voting system (like in ideas) that we may vote what should be fixed first.
With a bug there should be also ETA for a fix (in what release it will be fixed).
Sometimes there is a known problem and even whitepapers available but only for internal use and it would be handy to be able to seek and reference something when calling support (obviously I'm not expecting that some ...

It would be better if Symantec End Point management server can support managing the non Windows Client (Linux and MAC) because from what I can see here now only WIndows package can be flexible by editing the Sylink.xml to make it manage or unmanaged.

According to the current options in SEPM if you want to schedule the updates for client you should use a liveupdate server for updating clients. It will be nice if we can schedule updates irrespective of the updating method (we may use direct updating method from SEPM or through GUP).If such an option is available we will have a good control over the updation timing and it will be easy for managing the network load (in places where bandwidth is two low or the network is already having a good ...

therefore i must say that the reporting tab is a joke and does nothing to add value into this product.
Please let us know when this problem or feature can be ...
It would be very useful to have a method to start/stop and download packet capture from the Symantec Messaging Gateway web interface. With other products like Symantec Web Gateway (5.1) that can do a packet capture from the UI it seems to be a logicall addtion for the Symantec Messaging ...

Most of our customers want to see which SEP Administrator move a client from one group to another. In current versions we just see an administrator moved a client, but we can't see the old and new group name and computer name that moved.
It'll be very useful for auditing issue in enviroment.
