I cannot imagine how Symantec would publish documentation on how to migrate to another multipathing software. Maybe ask EMC for such documentation? I would guess as a start, you will have to disable all but one path at SAN level (i.e. remove zoning, disable hba) then remove SF DMP using Add/Remove programs. My issue is this:   failover is not working. zone remains in "installed" state from the original node it fails FROM, it get's into "running" mode just fine on the node it fails TO, all services come up, database, listener...I have to manually edit the index file to change the zone from installed to configured state for failovber to work....

It would be nice if the SF HA Coordination Point Server (CPS) would be available as ready-to-run VMDK for virtualized environments. This would enhance the deployment speed in new customer installation.

Andrew, thanks for the post. As discussed, it is a valid concern to allow refreshing a snapshot from different source than current source. This facility was merely put for test purposes (refresh across different snapshot hierarchies) and shouldn't be a default behavior.
