Symantec would like to announce an update of the Managed PKI Service, with enhancements for PKI Manager and PKI Client.

The PKI Manager Dashboard now displays certificate usage by type, allowing administrators to see and compare certificates in use. To assist customers in replacing SHA-1 certificates for SHA-2 certificates, PKI Manager now offers the ability to migrate certificate profiles. Additionally, the PKI Client for end users supports new third-party cryptographic service providers (CSPs), and has added new integration guides.

Symantec would like to announce an update of the Validation and ID Protection Service (VIP), with enhancements for VIP Self Service Portal and VIP Manager.

The VIP Self Service Portal has been redesigned! The portal now has an updated visual design and simplified page for managing your credentials, and an option for organizations to display their logo at the top. In the VIP Manager, new features and settings have been added for further customization and security, including changes to the password requirements. These new features have been automatically updated in the web-based portals, unless otherwise noted.

Yet the solution to stop this occurring every time is also really simple - use 2-factor authentication. All reputed websites that got hacked offer this. VIP Manager brings in a cool feature called User Groups. This feature enables an enterprise to segment their users into groups and assign credential policies based on user groups. Here is a short video to explain how it is all done.

We are very excited to demo this cool feature from Symantec VIP, called VIP Mobile Push Authentication. This feature will allow users to get access to resources protected with Symantec VIP  Authentication, with just ONE click. Besides ease of use, it helps avoiding usual errors caused due to manual entry like typing in wrong passcode.

Symantec would like to announce the new update of the Validation and ID Protection Service (VIP), with new functionality for VIP Manager and Enterprise Gateway v9.3.

Three new groups features – user groups, admin groups, and a Super Admin group – in this release provide greater flexibility in policy-driven identity management to meet diverse needs, as well as reduce risk and complexity for keeping administrator rights up-to-date. Additionally, there is now the option to use Device Identification and Intelligent Authentication independent of each other, for added protection as part of a multi-factor authentication policy. These new features and others are available now in your VIP Manager. Please ensure you download the Enterprise Gateway v9.3 update to use these features.
