Environment

Veritas Netbackup Server = 7.1

OS of Veritas Netbackup Server = Win2008

IBM Tape Library attached with six Tape Drives

Problem

After Tape Drive cleaned by Tape Library/Robot Automatically, the Tape Drive still shows "Needs Cleaning". See the below snap for reference:

Resolution

If the cleaning is run from library as we done it, Veritas Netbackup will know nothing about it, so the drives will still show as needing cleaning. tpclean -M <drive name> command will reset this manually (the "M" should not be small character in the command).

Note:

There may be more problem behind the same problem but what I have experienced I shared with you all.
