I have upgraded DLO AGENT from DLO 7.0 TO DLO 7.5 , i got the error "Access denied. Failed to create recovery key" So when i took support from symantec , they give reference to DLO 7.5 Admin guide
When I upgrade the Desktop Agent from 7.0 to 7.5 by using a different user account (instead of
the administrator account that was used to log on to the machine and install Desktop Agent 7.0
version), and when I try to access the existing desktop user data folder, the Desktop Agent goes
to disabled state with the following error: “Access denied. Failed to create recovery key.”
The error occurs because the user account may not have the privileges to access the existing
desktop user data folder.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
1 Right-click the desktop user data folder...

Note 1: For any existing customers with previous release of DLO (NetBackup DLO or BackupExec DLO) apart from the versions mentioned above, it will be a stepped upgrade support. That is, customers should first upgrade the existing version of DLO to Symantec DLO 7.0, and then upgrade to Symantec DLO 7.5

Upgrading to Symantec DLO 7.5
To upgrade from a previous version of DLO to Symantec DLO 7.5, follow these steps:
1 Run setup.exe to start the installation wizard.
2 Click Next.
3 Read the license agreement, and if you accept the terms, select I accept the
terms in the license agreement.
4 Click Next.
5 As DLO 7.5 comes with Dedupe feature, the following screen appears.

In NetBackup 7 monitoring SLP activity has been greatly simplified with the introduction of SLP reports

in OpsCenter which is discussed in more detail later in this document.

It is also possible to get an immediate view of the progress of the SLPs use the Storage Lifecycle Policy

utility command, nbstlutil. This command can be used to spot potential backlog problems before they

build up to unmanageable levels. Two options of the nbstlutil command are particularly useful for

nbstlutil report – this command (which is new in NetBackup 7.1) provides a summary of

incomplete images. This command supports the –storageserver, –mediaserver and –

lifecycle qualifiers to home in on ‗hot spots‘ that may develop into backlog situations and

displays the number of duplication operations in progress (either queued or active) and the total

SSR 2013 supports Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 including new features introduced in this release of Windows.

Following are the new features of Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 supported by SSR 2013

  1. Support for Volumes created on Storage pools
  • SSR 2013 recognizes volumes created from Storage Pools. It can backup and restores these volumes like physical volumes in the system. SSR 2013 also detects physical disks that make Storage Pools. These disks are not exposed through SSR 2013 during target selection.
  • However SSR 2013 does not backup/restore store pool configuration information. End user will have to create virtual disk/ spaces manually before SSR 2013 can restore volumes to these disks. Symantec System Recover Disk (SSRD) 2013 now contains PowerShell cmdlets to create/configure storage pools.
  • SSR 2013 also supports cold backup of storage pools volumes.
  1. Dedupe support...

We set out to see how businesses are doing when it comes to navigating their way through these changes. Our recent Windows Server 2012 Migration/Virtualization Survey was created to take a closer look at organizations attitudes towards migration, what their adoption plans are and get a closer look at virtualization trends in the market.

Change is the New Constant

The first finding that really jumped out at us is the...
