Partners,  the Symantec Partner Program is in the midst of exciting changes.  In November 2010 we launched the Enhanced Symantec Partner Program and introduced specializations as the cornerstone of the program.  Now, nearly 8 months later, the transition to the EMEA Enhanced Symantec Partner Program is nearing its end: 28th October 2011.  This date is the deadline for you to transition into the new program in EMEA and continue to receive the benefits you currently enjoy.

Today, Symantec unveiled its 2010 partner vision and strategy, including upcoming enhancements to the Partner Program. The announcement, delivered worldwide to our partner community, reinforces Symantec’s deep commitment to our partners with renewed focus and energy, which means a fresh approach to collaborating with the partner community.
Essentially, Symantec’s partnering vision will:

  • Offer partners opportunities for predictable and profitable growth
  • Provide partners with relevant market leading solutions to secure and manage customers’ information
  • Enable partners to deliver superior customer value

In order to help our partners access extra capital and  improve cash flow, Symantec has been offering an  Extended Terms Financing program,  which provides free 60-day extended payment terms for selected products.   The program is currently available to  Symantec Registered and Silver North American Partner Program Members possessing an SMB Specialization. 

I'd like to hear your feedback and find out if anyone in the Partner community on Connect is utilizing the program , if it is effective for you, and if you'd like Symantec to continue to offer this benefit for SMB Specialized partners.

As Symantec's Partner Engage 2009 kicks off this week in Orlando, FL we're anticipating an action packed agenda and an exciting line-up of speakers to share our direction and talk about the business opportunity for Partners who invest in Symantec.  As always, we're also looking forward to creating excellent engagement opportunities between Symantec leadership and our Partner Community over the next few days.
