Product or Solution release details includes the following:

  • Version
  • Release Type
  • Release Date
  • End of Life
  • End of Limited Support
  • Last date for patch releases
  • End of Support Life
  • Last date to contact support

To get that information follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Supported Products A-Z  page.
  2. Select the product from the list
  3. On the right side box named “Product Support” select “Release Details”
  4. The information for selected product will be loaded on the main page.
  5. Use the dropdown menu to select the correct version of the product you are looking for.

The Vision 2013 Call for Papers is now open.

Do you have a case study featuring successful implementations of Symantec products? Or best practice tips and trick using Symantec solutions? The Vision team is now accepting proposals for sessions at Vision 2013 Las Vegas.

-->Goto Ghost root  (C:/Programfiles/Symantec/Ghost/Client install/ client.msi)
--> Copy the client.msi to a USB boot key or on any storage device
-->Insert the USB key to the target machine double click on the client.msi
-->Go with installation  and machine will appear on the Ghost consoleunder Machine groups -> default

Ghost 12.0.0.4112, shipped with Deployment Solution 7.1 and later, is capable to create / convert to VHD images.

You can convert a ".GHO" file to a ".VHD" file using ghost32.exe, ghost64.exe or the Linux version of ghost.exe.
To convert the file, run ghost with the following command line:

-clone,mode=restore,src=C:\image.gho,dst=V:\image.vhd

Now you can open Hyper-V Manager Snap-in

select New > Virtual Machine...

Open the New Virtual Machine Wizard, click Next

Allocate the amount of memory, click Next

Configure Networking, click Next

Select "Use an existing virtual disk" and Browse to the location where you stored your newly converted .VHD image
