There are three ways to find this information:

1) From the SMP Console you can simply add the machine's resource GUID value at the end of the link below:
 
 
2) From the Console go to Manage > Computers search for the computer Name then Right-click, select
Resource Manager for that particular system, and go to Summaries > Filter Summary.
 
 
3) From SQL Server Management Studio
you can look at the CollectionMembership and connect this with item and/or vcomputer table, for example with the following query:

This is only a short guide to help you get started in compiling your own drivers or use my pre-compiled, the guide is written for some one who have prior linux and kernel compiling experience.

Required software:
A system that runs rhel server 6.4 i386 can be a vm on your local workstation.
Kernel sources and headers 2.6.32-358.el6 
gcc-4.3 the GNU C Compiler
make the tool that runs the compile script
wget a tool to download files from http servers
bzip2 a compression tool
build-essentials tools and libraries used to compile

Get the kernel config from you altiris server it's path should be something like c:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\NSCap\bin\Deployment\BDC\bootwiz\Platforms\Linux\x86\Build\config.x86
copy the config.x86 file to your kernel source directory (mine is /usr/src/kernels/linux-2.6.32-358.el6)and rename it to .config and "make oldconfig" to solve any configuration problems.

Announcing the availability of ITMS 7.5 SP1 HF3.

This release is available through SIM and contains a number of fixes for the following components:

  • Symantec Management Platform
  • Inventory Solution
  • Deployment Solution
  • Software Management Solution

You may notice a few changes in the Endpoint Management Community product names. We've updated the product names to align more closely with what appears on the Symantec.com site as well as the terms that Symantec Support use. Product descriptions have also been updated. These changes offer a better description of what the product does and in some cases indicates a product's End of Life (EOL) status.

All forums and threads are still available and searchable. We hope you find these changes helpful.

I started to hunt as many have before for a custom inventory for Altiris 7.1 that would get the Autodesk information like in Altiris 6.5. Every time I thought I had the script working I would find a different product it was not getting the information on correctly. Or in some case it just would not read a registry field like it would all the others. As I started to look I found the reason was not all the registry fields patterns where the same in about 2012 they changed the format of the registry configuration. There are also other products in Autodesk that the path in the registry was different or the field I wanted had a different name from one product to the next. So I started to compile a list of all the software I may need and looked for the registry keys I would need to make a functional custom inventory script for Autodesk. Just so we can all get it out yes I know I could have broken parts of this down into functions and had the script shorter but at the time I was not...

Migration: A migration is when you install the latest version of the IT Management Suite solutions on a new server, and then migrate the data from the earlier ITMS solutions to the latest version of the application.

Upgrade: An upgrade is when you install the latest version of ITMS on the same hardware, server operating system, and database.

You must migrate the Notification Server 6.x or 7.0 data to either Notification Server 7.1 SP2 or Notification Server 7.5. After migrating the data, you must first upgrade to either ITMS 7.1 SP2 MP1.1 or ITMS 7.5 HF6 depending on the path you choose and then upgrade to ITMS 7.5 SP1.
