I can reinstall it tonight, will not be able to report back again until tomorrow though. I just downloaded AVG (free edition) because something funky is going on with this stinking computer now. So I need to get it scanned somehow.

There is nothing at the location indicated. In fact that specific path/location doesn't exist on my computer.

Is the error log I added to the initial post not what your guys are looking for? I actually had to uninstall Symantec because I couldn't even open/install programs I needed for school. I can always reinstall it again ...
